A. Student Management Office: The HPSP is managed by the Student Management Office, Undergraduate Education Division, Medical Education Directorate at: HQDA, OTSG, ATTN: DASG-PSZ-MU, 5109 Leesburg Pike, Skyline Six, Room 691A, Falls Church, VA, 22041-3258. This is the only office that can authorize deviation from this policy and expenditure of funding for active duty training and payment of entitlements. This office makes all administrative, policy and eligibility determinations regarding HPSP. Participants are personally and financially liable for any actions taken that are inconsistent with the guidance and procedures in this policy handbook. Consult this handbook before acting on any information or advice from any source other than the Student Management Office. B. US Army Human Resources Command (AHRC): You are assigned to AHRC for command and control. For assistance, call (800) 325-4730, menu option 1, and then extension 0523. The AHRC maintains the official personnel records for HPSP participants and will also contact students regarding periodic physical examination, orders, and other reserve issues. Questions regarding reserve affairs and promotions should be addressed to AHRC.
C. United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Health Care Recruiters: provide general assistance and military guidance. They are also the initial point of contact to assist students with accomplishing HPSP requirements and resolving problems. D. Medical Education directorate: Students are required to maintain accurate information in the secure HPSP database on the web. All Students are required to go on line to request the following: placement on and return from leave of absence (LOA); discharge; ADT and amendments or changes; and first year of graduate medical education (FYGME). New enrollees are required to enter most preliminary data for verification by the student advisor.
