TDA Veterinary Cells

Unit Locator

Army Reserve Army Hospital (USAH) and Medical Support Units (MSU). Current locations for our TDA, typically considered garrison units. We sacrificed recruiting for these in order to fill the MDVS; we’ve got to fill these authorizations by moving officers and soldiers between units. Currently undergoing a manpower and authorization review.

The TDA VET DETs will stand up in a “carrier” status in September 2015.  Veterinary Corps Officer authorizations are one lieutenant colonel and one major.

TDA VET DETs (FY16)

US Army Hospital (USAH) and Medical Support Units (MSU). Within the U.S. Army Reserve Component (RC) there are five U.S. Army Hospitals (USAH) and five Installation Medical Support Units (MSU) with veterinary cells embedded in the respective USAH and MSU Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA). These 10 veterinary cells currently contain a total of 237 Requirements and Authorizations (REQ/AUTH) for Veterinary Service (VS) Soldiers. These units will become stand-alone units in 2016 and will un-embed from the MSUs and USAHs.
